Golden Boy Episode 3 Review

Well this show continues to impress me again and again. It’s given me quite an interesting view on fan service! I think that most people see shows like golden boy and criticise them or think of them as less worthwhile just because of the fan service prevalent in them. A show with fan service can definitely present an engaging and interesting story, and you just don’t want to admit that you like it so much!

This episode revolves around another manipulator but this time it’s about a manipulator who’s trying to marry a girl for personal gain just do divorce her straight away. It’s quite a sad set up and would almost be cliché if it wasn’t for the way the show handles it.

In a nice structure it introduces all of the characters, sets up the relationship and proceeds to reveal more information until you’re massively invested in the story that’s going on. Golden boy discovers these pieces of information but interestingly doesn’t want to hurt the girl’s feelings and instead begs the guy to call it off because he cares about the girl so much

Sure it’s solved in a very coincidental way but the emotional payoff is there all the same. It told a much gripping story that actually made me quite sad when the episode ended.

It wasn’t as good as the previous one but that episode is hard to live up too so I can forgive it for that. Surprisingly I’m finding that golden boy is great! Stay tuned for episode 4 coming soon. You see this is the advantage of reviewing episodes that aren’t airing, they can come out virtually straight away.

Thank you for reading this post from JEARETTAS Day 5! If you have any episode suggestions for me to review (and the date is 20th July or earlier) then please comment bellow!
