Netsuzou Trap -NTR- Episode 1 Review

I think its anime’s like this which make public consensus pretty terrible towards anime and anime fans. No-matter how many great shows with cool stories, characters, visuals and e.c.t there will always be some terrible ones dragging the rest down.

I’ve heard rumours that the word “Trap” is literal in NTR and that the girls are guys or something but I find that difficult to believe when hearing their voices and seeing their character designs. I hope this rumour is untrue because it would just make the series even weirder than it already is.

Anyway, the reason why this show is terrible (and everyone else thinks we’re weird) is that this anime not only has awful fan service love scenes but it’s also non-consensual. It’s pretty disturbing to see the girl get harassed without permission whilst the anime implies that the character actually enjoys it. It’s horrible to watch as, much like Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita it seems to be displaying scenes close to rape, implying it’s ok by doing it which I’m not ok with. I hate going SJW on things (which I don’t do often) but I think I’m extremely valid in my criticisms here.

So the premise is that a girl who is in love and dating another guy is getting harassed by her friend (Who’s a girl) whilst doing so. The girl and guy go out and kiss but the girls friend does the exact same things that they do. That is the plot in essence.

The way the girl tries to justify her acts is that it’s practice. I hate the idea of practicing with someone else; it’s essentially cheating and is only ever used as an excuse. Heck, even when the idea of practice is consensual in anime I still hate it because I think it’s just weird and disgusting.

So I’m not going to watch this series any further. I’m used to weird things in anime but watching something like this is a lot more disturbing than just weird in my opinion.

Thank you for reading this post from JEARETTAS Day 29! If you have any episode suggestions for me to review then you are unfortunately too late. But don’t worry; you can search the JEARETTAS archive for something you might like anyway!
