11 Sunshine Blogger Award Questions!

Thank you to The Spooky Red Head for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger award! She does fascinating lists about a huge range of subject which are really fun to read! I always find myself learning something new! Here is a fun place to start if you haven’t seen her blog already! I liked this one a lot!

The rules for this award are as follows:
– Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you for the blog post and link back to their blog
– Answer the 11 questions the blogger(s) asked you
– Nominate new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions
– List the rules and display the Sunshine Award Logo in your post

1. Do you have any comfort foods?

No none at all. I never snack in between meals. But I do feel very comfortable eating things I like such as pizza!

One day my friend said he was having pizza for dinner and I said I was jealous. Then he said if I can put in the effort to walk to his house at the correct time he would give me a slice of pizza. Of course I took him up on this offer, stole two slices of pizza and had ice cream as well! I was looking for an excuse to write about that story so here it is!
2. Fish or hamsters?

Fish, I think they taste way better.
3. What’s a sure-fire way to cheer you up?

Really dumb puns and writing blog posts. Then theirs reading spam comments which probably cheer me up too much and I need to find a sure fire way to bring me down again.
4. What’s your proudest achievement?

I have no idea. Maybe getting 8 A* in GCSE? I don’t think I’m that proud of it though.
5. Do you have any obsessions?

Of course. Blogging, anime, games, food, sleep, life and I guess revision really. Oddly having way less time for anything because of revision has increased my work output. When I’m pressed for time I will spend all day doing nothing else but blogging and revision.
6. If you could only pick between eating chocolate or ice-cream for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Ice cream, it has more water content so I’m more likely to not die eating it. Then I came back here the next day to edit this post because I ran out of time yesterday and realised it was eat, you can drink whatever you want. So I would put chocolate because I like it more and I can get water from other sources!
7. Do you have any strange fears?

Not off the top of my head. In high pressure situations I tend to worry about simple things and need to check over and over again to make sure it’s correct. Like I have to test the door is locked quite a few times before I’m happy to walk away.
8. What’s your dressing style? (e.g. preppy, grunge, casual)

I have no style! I wear jeans and fairly plain T-shirts unless I’m not seeing anyone in the day where I wear a nerdy T-shirt instead. It’s more casual and it’s nice. Just to give you an idea I don’t know what Preppy and Grunge mean.
9. What’s your favourite type of monster?

It has to be the brachidiyos from monster hunter. It’s so fun to play against and has really useful upgrades once you win!
10. How long have you been blogging for?

Way too long. My brain should be completely empty by now but it’s not!
11. Any secret talents that we should know about?

Yeah but if I told you they wouldn’t be secret. I’ll tell you three. I can juggle, edit videos well and card count (learned a few days ago). That’s all you get! Don’t tell anyone!

Alright onto the nominations. These nominations go out to the kings! The legends! And people I like a lot! My most frequent commenters who I feel deserve this greatly. These guys are all brilliant, you should be following all of them. (And obviously Redhead as well but she nominated me so I’m not going to nominate her again) I also want to shout out some new bloggers that I’ve found because I think they’re cool as well.

I think there are meant be be 11 nominations but there are lots of people I’ve found recently who I want to give the award too, so deal with it, I like these guys! Also if your name is on this list you HAVE to do it, no excuses! I WILL KNOW…

Shadowcat99 – The Top commenter besides me, I’ve had many great discussions with her and greatly enjoyed them. You have 98 comments, so close to 100! Recently I’ve loved her Ranma 1/2 and Fruits basket impressions post.

Lina – She is both funny and lovely. I like her posts and her discussions. I would recommend her post talking about Inukashi. It was very interesting.

Zainou – I love his style of posts! He’s thorough and analytical, I like him a lot. He also has a taste for old OVA’s and TV anime’s which is shared by me so I love those posts. You’ve got to read his legend of the galatic heroes posts. Then watch the show. Also where’s that episode 3 review? It’s such a good episode! If you don’t want to write I want to write it for you because I love that episode so much and I think it needs to exist!

Karandi – I can’t keep up with seasonal anime, and it only just occured to me now that I could watch all these show vicariously through reading her reviews… But I like her top tens and features. The features in particular have a lot of effort put into them and I can really see the passion in the ideas she brings forward. Her OWLS blog tour post was a really good take on bleach’s soul society and brought back some great memories.

KingDylbag13 – If anyone has been a motivator for me to continue blogging it’s KingDylbag because it feels like he’s solved blogging. He can write very short posts but they’re all either funny or interesting. Because of this his posts are very easy to read and also a fun time as you will always find something to like. I’d start here if you want to see what I mean.

Moyatori – Cool posts which I enjoy reading a lot, I find that she talks about shows that I’ve not seen very often but the ones which I have seen are great. The Toradora collab has been very cool.

Bannet – I followed Bannet recently and like the varity of posts on their blog. It was a great place to learn about who Isao Takahata was and get some recommendations for films.

Lethargic Ramblings – I was particularly impressed with Leth’s arguments in defence of light novel adaptations and made me think again about my position of them. He also has interesting posts about the rest of the anime season which is why I like him. I also only found him a few days ago so I’m looking forward to what’s coming next!

A Nerdy Perspective – She has great reviews and even though I only found her recently I’ve greatly enjoyed the anime discussions that we’ve been having. The best review I’ve seen is the one I found her through, the watamote review and I found her take on one of my favourite anime’s really great.

LitaKino – I really like everything Lita is doing. She has a great YouTube channel, recommends blog posts she likes in blog a rama’s and has even shouted me out a few times, so she obviously has good taste. Then there was the feedback post to help creators which is a valuable resource which you should see!

Arthifis – I got into Arthifis recently and have found most of his posts entertaining except for the “hottest boys” posts which really aren’t meant for me to read anyway. I found the recent post about getting google views interesting and very helpful!

Animeniacsshelflife – I just had to follow after reading the Senyu review on this blog. Not only was is a great review but it connected me with my anime counterpart. What that means is I found the first person in an anime with the same name as me!

Remy Fool – I enjoy his stuff for seasonal anime content as well as interesting list posts about things I would never have thought about!

Timeforwriting11 – TFW writes a lot about LBTQ and often applies it to anime. So it’s learning about something I have no idea about through a medium I know very well! It’s really interesting. I particularly liked the Shinsekai Yori post because I liked thinking about a part of the show I never would have paid any attention too otherwise.

And there you go, I hope you check these guys out if you don’t know who each other are! Also that statement that you have to write a post is obviously not true. I would just love to see it.

Now for the 11 questions!

  1. What is your attitude towards telling other people about your blog?
  2. What is a really obscure anime/manga/thing that only you like and want other people to check out?
  3. Do you have any obsessions?
  4. Do you have any fashion tips?
  5. What’s your favourite activity to do in the real world? Watching anime doesn’t count.
  6. What is the most valuable thing you’ve lost?
  7. What subject at school did/do you really hate?
  8. Have you ever tried to learn Japanese for anime?
  9. What’s the biggest amount of trouble you’ve ever gotten into? Also keep it light and don’t bring in your huge list of criminal records… (Joke because I don’t know all of you that well yet)
  10. What’s the worst thing happening in anime right now?
  11. Whats the best thing happening in anime right now?

Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you have a great day!

  1. Congrats in your award and thank you for your nomination eheh

Yeah… The hottest guys are not for everyone! But who knows… I may do the “hottest girls” somewhere in the future! What do you think about that? 😀

Checking if my door is locked is my daily life!!! I normally chek it up three times… Daily! lololol :’D

I’m in a hiatus at the moment so I’m only writing my weekly collab at the moment… But the moment I come back fully I’ll answer it ok? :3

    1. Sure I wondered about that because I’d not seen posts in a while.

I thought of starting that series myself but I’ve not got around to it. I don’t mind that hottest guys post exist, they just aren’t for me. It feels weird to write sort of, if I don’t take it too seriously though it might work though.

Right now I’m like a month ahead scheduled so it would take a long time to come out anyway!

    1. This comment has actually made me think that you’re on way more comments than 100. After checking my top comments you went down instead of up to 96. Then I checked a while later and you’d dropped to 94 which is tied for top. So I think my top comments are glitched and you are actually much higher.

You’re not deleting any comments are you? I find it strange that this is happening. I know I’m not being stupid because even if I was wrong with 98 I definitely saw a 96 go to a 94.

      Sorry I don’t know what’s going on!

        1. You’ve got to be kidding me. Please tell me you’re doing something! You’re down to 91! You’ve fallen since the 37 minutes since you sent this! This is really creeping me out!

That spam one is unapproved but it always has been!

Well sorry you’re no longer top commenter. I don’t know what happened.

          Liked by 1 person

            1. Now it’s at 90. I think every comment now takes one away. You reach a maximum at 100, every comment pulls you down one until zero where you go back up again to 100!

Don’t worry I’ll think of you as top comment anyway even though this has happened!

  2. Thank you for the nomination and the kind words. I will try to respond to this. I’m bad at getting around to these, but I will definitely try.
Your answer to fish or hamsters had me laughing.

  3. How are your answers all so great? This was the best thing to read 😂
OH MY GOD YOU DON’T SNACK WHAT SORT OF MYTHICAL CREATURE ARE YOU? MAYBE UNICORNS DO EXIST AFTER ALL?? THAT OR DO I JUST EAT TOO MUCH???
Fish is probably way better than hamster. Though there seems to be quite a bit of a divide among Yahoo answers and Quora answers about if hamsters tastes any good…
What’s a 8 A* GCSE mean? Is it like your graduation exit score?
Also you have to check out grunge!!! It looks amazing 🙂
Damn I can only dream to have the level of co-ordination that juggling involves…

    1. Well I just don’t let myself have access to food in between meals. I am pretty underweight for my age though so some snacking would be ok.

I haven’t eaten hamster so I don’t know. But since we sell what tastes nicest it can’t be that great I think.

GCSE’s are the UK exams that you do when your 16. You normally do around 10 before going off to apprentiships or sixth form for two years and then uni at 18. An A* is something like being in the top 8-3% of the country.

I’ve checked out grunge, I like it but see nothing but woman’s fashion so it doesn’t help me a lot. Thanks though!

Juggling took me a long time to learn and I sucked at it just as bad as everyone else. It’s like if you ever learn a song on a musical instrument. It’s really weird at first and it takes ages but once you’ve learned it the song is just completely natural and easy to you.

      1. Yeah I don’t think hamster would taste that great either… It seems like only really a few Asian countries and Peru eat hamster anyway!
Oh wow that’s so awesome! Congrats on doing so well 😀 You must have studied really hard for it!
Ahhh yeah sorry I probably should’ve been more clearer about the grunge thing. I just meant that it’s a really cool style 😅 I usually just wear jeans, converse and a jumper/shirt anyway too
Wow that’s impressive that you stuck with juggling for so long to get good at it. I relate to the music thing though, it takes me forever to learn songs. My fingers don’t like to co-operate a lot of the time and it takes quite a bit of practise before I can play it how I need to…

  4. Thanks for the nomination! I’m glad you enjoyed my first LoTGH post! One about episode 3 is coming soon, entitled “How LoTGH Created The Perfect Third Episode,” about how while the first two invested you in the narrative, that one invests you in the characters.

  5. Aww thanks for the nomination! I really appreciate it and I’m so glad you enjoyed my Watamote review that makes me so happy! 😄 Also this happens a lot so I’m used to it now but I’m actually a girl but I get how my name could be confusing 😂

    Liked by 1 person

      1. Ahh I see that makes total sense! Again, thank you so much! It’s always lovely to hear that people like what I write! It was an awesome show! I’ve also been enjoying what I’ve seen of your content so far too! 😄

        1. Thank you! I’m making a lot of it lately so I hope you find something!

Even if the profile picture is an anime girl I still might think you were male. Guys just put characters they like as their profile picture.

I had Ika Musume (Squid Girl) as my profile picture for a long time and I’m pretty sure nobody thought I was either really young or a girl.

I would say that a way to stop that would be by ending a post with your name or something. I’ve seen that done before. Like “See you next time, (insert name here)”. Or just putting your face as your profile picture but I don’t think you want to do that.

I always grew up with the general rule that online anyone who you’re not sure about is male. But I swear that’s the opposite on WordPress because I’ve made that mistake so many times! At least 5 off the top of my head. I think there are way more girls blogging than males though. That’s just my experience.

          1. No problem and I have found some great stuff so far! Keep up the good work!

That’s actually interesting to hear! I’ve had my pic since I started on here and it just stuck as I like the character as the gender of the character is never really something I think about. 😂 Yeah I don’t really want my own picture but that is a good idea! I see many people do that!

I also never knew that was a thing either! I had no idea there was a rule like that 🤔 I always just say “they” or “them” until I’m certain on gender just to stay on the fence. 😂 Everyone is different though and if you’ve grown up with one thing then that makes sense. 😊 I feel like my experience on here is quite mixed with gender but there are a lot of female bloggers on here now I think about it!

            Liked by 1 person

            1. Yeah I should probably go like “them” as well and I did do that for some of the people on the list, I was just sure of you. Don’t worry you don’t have a particularly masculine way of writing or anything, I’ve made the mistake with a lot of people.

That rule was probably because the stuff I went on as a kid were more male orientated. There were a lot of guys who would just pretend to be girls online for people to give them in game money or something so I guess it was just a way to stop myself getting scammed carrying back over.

I tried it myself on minecraft and even with a maleish name like “Bellyace” (That name was a mistake…) people treated me very differently. So it may sound sexist but guys really do treat people they think are girls way differently on the internet. It’s odd to just get random free money just because people suddenly want to talk to you more.

              1. It’s ok no worries! It’s not the first time and I doubt it’ll be the last haha but I don’t really mind I just like to let people know when it happens!

Ahhh ok! That’s understandable and I get that you would assume in order to protect yourself! It’s the best thing for being safe so I don’t blame you. I had no idea about people pretending to get game money though! I’ve heard other stuff but that’s a new one to me!

Interesting name choice! And wow it’s strange to think that people treat you different because of what gender they think you are 🤔 that’s crazy to me! Some strange things go on online and it baffles me sometimes!

                Liked by 1 person

                1. I find it strange how baffled you are! It seems so obvious to me. I guess you did a good job of avoiding those circles! I think it mostly comes from that runescape girlfriend meme. It was really bad on runescape.

To be fair though I was a kid at the time so people change a lot when they get older. Now it would be surprising to find anyone whose not on the internet!

                  Liked by 1 person

                  1. Yeah I am honestly! Yeah I think I did as I have always tried to stay safe and only use stuff I trust online. I never played Runescape (then again I never played any online games) so I must have missed all that part of the Internet.

Yeah and I think the Internet has changed a lot over the years too so you’re probably right with that!
